The job of editing the video for DVD has begun in earnest and clubs who made a purchase can look forward to receiving  discs at the end of the month.

It’s been an uphill struggle- hard drives were maxxed out so the final round of contests had to remain on video tape.  Transferring these to computer has been the source of the recent delay as not only was the necessary room required for capture but additional Gigabytes were needed for the job of stitching the whole lot together.

Making Gigabytes of room available is a challenge but the project now has room for three master discs:-  for Tongue, Groats and Sharks.

Among the unseen games are  Groats v Tongue and Central v Sharks.

More soon!

With one week till cup day and no further orders for discs, (apart from Tongue FC and I take my hat off to them!) I have to resign myself to the fact that I’ll be unable to film these final matches - and I’m well fed up about it.

Of the 19 clubs in two divisions only three showed interest when I asked them for help and of them only one ordered more than a couple of discs - in other words it’s been a disaster. This season I reckon I did the business and it was the league that let me down. So to spare future embarrassment I’m announcing the end of the video - there won’t be any Davie T on the sidelines any more.

With so many people it shouldn’t have taken much effort to make this project a success - but it appears something has been preventing this, and rather than try to puzzle it out any more I’m calling it a day.

Managed to squeeze another 20GB of hard drive space to accomodate the upcoming play-off matches.

Once these are done we’ll be completely maxed out - and since it takes 8GB+  per team to put their discs together we’ll need more DVD orders to scrape the cash for another hard drive.

The good news is it looks like a few orders WILL be forthcoming, so the situation looks better than last week.

If you can, ask your players about buying a disc.

Another Statblast update...

Created 11 Fictional players for division two to make goalscoring tallies total up properly.

These men are as follows..

  1. Ashes Awarded
  2. Central Awarded
  3. Groats Awarded
  4. Swifts Awarded
  5. Naver Awarded
  6. RGs Awarded
  7. Seaview Awarded
  8. Sharks Awarded
  9. Tongue Awarded
  10. TopJoes Awarded
  11. Watten Awarded

This batch of virtual reality men cover the awarded JGC goals (3 per game) and allow goals to tally up properly. Additonally this can be examined visually via our (now) legendary pie-charts.

Also created a fictional ref named Awarded Match - for the same reason.

Division Two teams can also compare each halve of their season as separate league tables, so, for example for the first 11 games Tongue Utd were bottom of the table (11th) while for the second half of the season they were 6th - clearly improvements were being made.

Added On Video Goal Scorer Info to Division Two - Its 95% complete but good enough to give an idea of how many goals have been captured and for which teams. Find out if YOU have any goals on the video.

Still looking for team reps to help with video and statistics. Got RGs and Tongue so far. Teams who participate will benefit in a variety of ways, get in touch soon if you want your squad included.
